The short version. Aercon collects the details you give us in the quote-request form and shares them with one trusted air conditioning installer so they can quote your job. We don't sell your data, we don't share it beyond that without your permission, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
Who runs Aercon
Aercon is operated by Gain Partners, based in Ireland. For privacy questions or data requests, email marcus@gainpartners.ie.
What we collect
When you fill out the quote-request form on aercon.ie, we collect:
Your name
Email address
Phone number
County
Property type (home or business)
Details you provide about the job
Whether you ticked the marketing-consent box
A timestamp of your submission
Your browser's user agent string (helps spot spam and debug issues)
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how people use the site and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure ad performance. These set cookies and we only load them after you accept the cookie banner on your first visit. If you reject, no per-user cookies are stored on your device. You can change your choice any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Why we collect it (lawful basis)
To match you with an installer and pass your request along so they can quote your job. Lawful basis: performance of a contract (you're asking us for a service).
To send you occasional emails about related home energy upgrades like solar panels or heat pumps. Only if you ticked the marketing-consent box. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw any time.
Who sees your data
One installer. We share your full submission with one vetted installer who can quote your job. They'll contact you directly.
Formspree (Open Channels LLC, USA) handles form delivery — they receive your submission and forward it to our inbox. Their privacy policy.
Vercel (USA) hosts the aercon.ie site. Their servers log IP addresses for security and performance.
Google Fonts. The page loads two fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser briefly connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited). Used to measure site traffic and ad-campaign performance. Only loaded if you accept the cookie banner. They do not see your form submission contents, but they may set cookies and record your IP address, user agent, and the pages you visit. With Consent Mode v2, anonymous traffic pings still happen even if you reject, but no identifying cookies are stored.
Formspree and Vercel transfer data to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Submissions: kept in our inbox while we run the service; deleted on request.
Marketing-opt-in records: kept while you remain subscribed.
Server and form-delivery logs: kept by Vercel and Formspree per their respective retention policies.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to:
Show you the data we hold on you (right of access)
Correct it (rectification)
Delete it (erasure)
Send it to another service (data portability)
Stop using it for marketing (object to processing)
If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Cookies
The site sets cookies only after you accept the cookie banner on your first visit. These are Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies used to measure site usage and ad performance. If you reject, no cookies are stored. You can change your choice any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the way we handle data changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects any changes.
